Faith That Follows When the Way Is Unclear
Hebrews 11:6
…for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Thought
Faith is not only for the day you are saved. Faith is also for every step after that. The Christian life is a journey of following God in faith. Many times God does not show us the whole path. He shows us only the next step. In those moments, faith must lead and feelings must follow.
The Bible gives us many examples of following faith. Abraham obeyed God and went out, not knowing where he was going. Moses left the treasures of Egypt and chose to suffer with the people of God. The disciples left their work and their old lives to follow Jesus.
They did not understand everything. They did not see every detail. But they trusted the One who called them. That is what following faith does. It believes that God is wise, good, and faithful even when the way seems unclear.
Faith that follows will always lead to obedience. It is not enough to say “I trust God” while ignoring what He says. Real faith shows itself in real obedience. It says “Yes, Lord” with both the heart and the life. When we trust God’s character, we can obey God’s commands, even when they are costly.
Prayer
Father, in Jesus name, help me to have a faith that follows You even when I do not see the whole picture. When I am unsure or afraid, remind me that You are wise, loving, and in control. Give me courage to obey Your word, to surrender my own plans, and to trust that Your way is best. Let my faith be seen in my obedience and my daily choices. In Jesus name, Amen.
