Serve from God’s Supply

John 15:5
Without me ye can do nothing.

Thought:
Christian service was never meant to be performed in human strength alone. Jesus makes it clear that apart from Him, we can do nothing of eternal value. We may stay busy and make great plans, but real service and lasting fruit comes only from abiding in Jesus and depending on His strength.

This truth frees us from the burden of pretending to be strong enough. God does not ask us to manufacture spiritual strength. He calls us to serve from His supply of grace, mercy and strength. Today, whatever responsibility is before you, do it prayerfully and through dependence upon the Lord. Serve with diligence, but lean on the Lord for the strength to continue.

Prayer:
Lord, I confess that I often try to serve in my own strength. Teach me to depend on You. Give me the ability, patience, and grace I need to serve others in a way that honors You. In Jesus' name, amen.
