Resting in God's Promises

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Jesus invites everyone who’s tired and stressed to come to Him for a break. This rest isn’t just about taking a nap, it’s about finding a deep, inner peace that comes from trusting in God’s promises and who He is. As you read today’s passages, think about any burdens you might be carrying that you don’t need to. How can you take on Jesus’s yoke today? Remember, His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Prayer:
Dedicate time each day to practicing casting your anxieties upon Him through prayer. Allow Him to provide you with a peace that surpasses human comprehension. Make this a day where you consciously choose to rest in God’s unwavering love and care for you.
