Focused on Eternity
Matthew 6:19-21
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Thoughts:
"For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it." This truthful reminder from 1 Timothy 6:7 resembles Jesus' teaching about storing up treasures in heaven. Today, consider what it means to live with an eternal mindset. How does the knowledge that you can't take earthly possessions with you change your priorities? Reflect on ways you can invest in eternal things, such as relationships, acts of kindness, and sharing your faith.
