What Do I Do?
Judges 7:15
15 And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.
Thoughts:
Feeding off the message from Dr. Kilgore this Sunday… I came across this while studying.
The scriptures about Gideon this morning are a great accompaniment to the text about Mordecai returning to the King’s Work that was preached.
When Gideon was still very fearful after all that God had shown him about fighting and winning against the Midianites, God told him to go down to the enemy's camp and listen. He heard them talking about the dream of the barley bread tumbling into the camp and that it could be none other than Gideon, a man of Israel, and that God had delivered the Midianites into his hands. When Gideon heard this conversation, it moved him to do one thing…
Judges 7:15
15 And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he WORSHIPPED, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.
Ask yourself what you will do when the realization settles in that God is IN you and FOR you. Will you worship, or a better question would be… If you have realized that the Lord is faithful in your life, do you worship?
Prayer:
Ask the Lord today to reveal those missed moments in your life that come from distrust, lack of faith, or fear of the battle ahead of you. Allow Him to strengthen your faith by knowing the scriptures and fully understanding that He is God.
