The Family of God
Ephesians 3:15
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
1 John 3:1-3
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Thoughts:
You belong to an eternal family that reaches both heaven and earth. This family includes the saints who now worship before God's throne and fellow believers who serve alongside you today. Paul prayed because he recognized his connection to this vast spiritual family. Your struggles are not isolated, and your victories bless others. When you pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ, you participate in the divine network of love and support that God designed. Some family members bring tears as we remember their faithfulness; others inspire us through their present service. Being part of God's family means you are never alone in your journey.
Prayer:
Reach out to one person in your church family today, asking how you can pray for them, and commit to interceding on their behalf.
