The Foundation of Unity
Ephesians 4:13
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Thoughts:
"Until" is a word of process, not arrival. Until we reach unity in faith. Until we fully know Christ. Until we measure up to His stature. This side of heaven, we're all still growing. The question isn't whether you've arrived at spiritual perfection; you haven't. The question is whether you're maturing or remaining childish, "tossed to and fro" by every new teaching. Spiritual maturity means developing discernment, speaking truth in love, and growing deeper in Christ regardless of circumstances. Examine your spiritual diet today. Are you still feeding on milk, or are you digesting solid food? Are you teachable, or do you resist correction? God's framework for the church includes teachers and pastors for a reason. God placed them here, and you need them until you see Jesus face to face.
Prayer:
Ask the Lord for a spirit of unity among believers. Pray for understanding and wisdom to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and for strength to resist false teachings that attempt to disrupt our faith.
